... still living simply

My first Project 365 journey, 'Live Simply So That Others May Simply Live', documented from April 7, 2010 to April 6, 2011. After taking a couple of months off I have decided to continue my Project 365 blog for another year. I am entitling this year '... still living simply'.

Thank you for visiting. I hope you will stay a while and enjoy!

Day 269 - December 31, 2010

Christmas in PA
(Below) Opening the 2nd Annual cookbook created by Christie and me...
There was a little pirate in our midst...
Aunt Liz (from NC) was part of the festivities! (here she is showing off a handmade scarf from Christie's mom - beautiful!)

(Below) A Meekoo for Christie (right) and one for me, created by June at Noon! (website

Eric showing off his daughter's new toy... lookin' good!
More handmade goodies from June at Noon... these are amazing, and recycled from old magazines!!
A beautiful purse made (for me) by Christie's mom. I can't wait to start using it!
A hand-carved stamp made by June at Noon for our geocaching/letterboxing adventures! She made one for Christie and both of Christie's parents and they are amazing. I am going to use mine for geocaching and in my letter-writing... it's just that cool!
A lovely quilt made for Christie by her mom (from fabric that Christie picked out during her stay in Washington state with AmeriCorps). :)
And we were surrounded by loved ones in spirit and reminded that love never dies.
This is Christie's Aunt Eunie - a self portrait taken when she was a twenty-something in the '70s, I believe, while a student in Rochester - who passed away earlier this year. She beautifully lives on in Christie and the rest of her family. I wrote about our trip to Cuba Lake in July - when I got to meet Eunie - here.
