... still living simply

My first Project 365 journey, 'Live Simply So That Others May Simply Live', documented from April 7, 2010 to April 6, 2011. After taking a couple of months off I have decided to continue my Project 365 blog for another year. I am entitling this year '... still living simply'.

Thank you for visiting. I hope you will stay a while and enjoy!

Day 256 - December 18, 2010

(Above and below) Christie surprised me with this mug from Equal Grounds which I am loving! She also got one of their new sweatshirts which (I hear) is comfy and (I know) looks good! It's nice to have a safe and peaceful coffee shop right down the road from our apartment.

Neat art on University Avenue...
...with a good message. :)
We went to a few stores in our area today, and we found this neat kitchen towel at Zak's on South Ave... it is a store new to the area, and it's awesome!

It looks good hanging in our very veg-friendly kitchen!
In the evening we went on a date to Lento, one of our favorite restaurants. We don't go too often because it is pretty pricey, so we considered it our Christmas dinner as a couple.

We started with a sald of mixed greens, candied walnuts, goat cheese and a light vinegrette...
It was enjoyed by all. :)
(Above) I had vegan rosemary crepes filled with mushrooms and laid on a bed of quinoa and topped with sprouts. SO GOOD!
Christie had pumpkin ravioli surrounded by spinach that was to die for -- it was seriously and really awesome!
For dessert we shared apple fritters with rum ice-cream... yum!
Our waitress, Renee, was super-nice, and we were surprised to hear that she remembered us from our last visit to Lento, about a year ago! She was really great so we gave her a big tip -- 'tis the season. Fa la la. :)
