Rachel Ladd sent me a belated birthday gift that was a nice surprise and definitely made me laugh. She sent two Alabama mugs and some coffee from Telluride, CO which is where she is currently living. The coffee reminds me of weekends in Alabama, year #1 of AmeriCorps. Clare and I (and others from our team) would spend weekends drinking pot after pot of Starbucks coffee in the air-conditioning because it was too hot & humid to do much else! (By the way, Clare helped Rach with this gift :) ). The second photo is my lunch for the day, lovingly made by Christie. She included my first ever love note typed on a book page with our newly acquired typewriter, in addition to German candy. Love it. :)
