Haircut day! Well, there are no photos of the results, but we do have documentation of the delicious vegan treats we enjoyed from Eco Bella Bakery on South Avenue: a lemon moon pie (YUM!) and an Elvis-esque treat with chocolate, bananas, and peanut butter. Everything at the bakery is to-die-for (I don't say that too often), so I can't imagine ever having anything sub-par. In the afternoon Christie and I enjoyed a meal at Magnolia's Cafe on Park Avenue - we shared the fruit cup and their a.ma.zing tomato soup, veggie quiche, and a side of mac 'n cheese. At night we attended Art Awake which is an event celebrating community music and art, and it is held in an unused Rochester building. This year's was held at a former downtown bank, and it was neat to see art incorporated into different elements of the (former) bank. One of Christie's paintings, 'Garden', was selected for display! Our friend Annie also joined us, and it was a fun (and LOUD!) evening with lots of art and music.
